Gen Alpha Needs You To Take Them Seriously.

Because how we respond now shapes how they cope, adapt, and connect later.

Programme Overview | What to Expect

Understanding the risks and challenges facing Generation Alpha

This half-day session explores the evolving risks and challenges shaping Generation Alpha today — from digital exposure and shifting social pressures to emotional regulation, boundaries, and the ways children now communicate and make sense of the world. Rather than isolating single issues, the focus is on understanding the broader environment Gen Alpha is growing up in, and why familiar approaches may no longer work in the same way.

Making sense of what parents and educators are seeing — and not always seeing

Children often present differently across settings. Educators may observe patterns, behaviours, or challenges in school that are not always visible at home, while parents carry history, context, and relational dynamics that classrooms may not fully capture. This session brings these perspectives together, recognising the home–school cycle as a shared responsibility rather than separate roles operating in isolation.

Exploring parental intervention alongside the role of educators

While schools and educators provide structure, guidance, and daily observation, parents remain the most consistent facilitators in a child’s life. This session examines parental intervention not as blame or control, but as intentional involvement — shaped by clearer understanding, realistic expectations, and alignment with educators. Practical ways of thinking and responding will be explored, acknowledging that meaningful change happens through partnership, not one-sided effort.

A guided, dialogue-based format — not a one-way talk

Designed as an interactive seminar, the session is structured to allow reflection, guided discussion, and shared learning. Participants are invited to engage with recurring concerns and real-world situations adults are navigating with Gen Alpha today. Rather than offering generic advice, the focus is on clearer thinking, shared understanding, and more intentional approaches moving forward — informed by both home and school perspectives.

Teachers and school-based professionals, including counsellors, are often the first to observe shifts in behaviour, communication, and emotional regulation. This session provides space to bring classroom observations into conversation with parents and other professionals, strengthening understanding across the home–school cycle and supporting more aligned responses.
